Computerized Business Applications

  • Course Description - CBA is a two semester course designed to prepare students with an introduction to business applications that are necessary to live and work in a technological society. Emphasis is given to hardware, concepts, and business uses of applications. The business applications covered are word processing, database, spreadsheet, telecommunications, and presentations.
  • Online Course Book - Microsoft IT Academy  

  • Microsoft Office Specialist Certification - This online book builds the bridge between academic learning and the skills needed in the real world today.  The skills learned help them to pass the Microsoft Office Specialist Test which is given after each unit.  The certification gives future employers validation that job applicants are qualified to be productive in the office environment.
  • College Credit - Students receive concurrent credit with this class through Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas. Upon completion will have completed 3 college hours credit.

Computerized Accounting I

  • Course Description - Computerized Accounting I is a two-semester course with emphasis on basic accounting principles as they relate to both manual and computerized financial systems. Instruction is on an integrated basis, using computers and electronic calculators as the relationships and processes of manual and computerized accounting are presented. Entry-level skills in accounting occupations can be attained.
