In this issue
Later he appeared to the eleven themselves as they were sitting at the table; and he upbraided them for their lack of faith and stubbornness, because they had not believed those who saw him after he was risen. And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the good news to the whole creation.”
-Mark 16: 14-15
A reminder to parents that Kindergarten registration at our school is ongoing. If you have a child who is turning four during 2017 you can stop by our office and register your child for 2017-18 school year. We look forward to seeing you!
Entrepreneurial Adventure Program
The Grade 5 homeroom classes are very excited to participate in the Entrepreneurial Adventure Program again this year. Mrs. Arcuri (Gr. 4/5), Mrs. Hodgins (Gr. 5) and Mrs. Beardsley (Gr. 5) are helping their classes to collaborate and organize activities with a goal of raising money for the OK Clean Water Project. More information about these student-driven initiatives will be sent home soon.
Thanks to all of the members of our school community who were able to attend our Ash Wednesday liturgy on Wednesday, March 1st. It was a beautiful liturgy, led by Monsignor Muldoon, and we were happy to see so many parents there to help us mark the beginning of Lent.
We also wanted to thank our Catholic School Council, who, after watching an amazing slideshow put together by Mrs. Arcuri’s Grade 4/5 class, committed to buying five ozobots for the school. Ozobots are a great tool that can introduce students to some of the basics of coding. Last week, students from that same Grade 4/5 class did presentations about Ozobots for classes throughout the school, and now students of all ages are using the Ozobots in their classrooms. Thanks to the contribution from our School Council, we will be able to put these amazing tools to even greater use.
The St. Stephen Green Team is continuing to encourage all students to bring in Litterless lunches. Each time a student brings a litterless lunch to school, their name will be entered in a draw to win a weekly Eco-friendly prize. More information can be found at:
We hope that everyone has a fun March Break next week! We wish everyone safe travels and great times with friends and family. We look forward to seeing everyone back at school on Monday, March 20th.
