So I have been able to find fixes for the gamethread timed out fatal error, fuzzy/pixelated graphics, and the beipi underwater night vision bug. This will set the games render scale to 100%, along with other changes that will increase the visual fidelity of the game, and solve the gamethread timed out fatal error.
Follow these steps:
For Fatal Error:
[SystemSettings]
; Fix for gamethread timed out fatal error
g.TimeoutForBlockOnRenderFence=9999999
For graphics(bepi/denio nv, over pixelation/blurry graphics, some ghosting)(2 pages)
[SystemSettings]
; Fix for gamethread timed out fatal error
g.TimeoutForBlockOnRenderFence=9999999
; change this if you get any visual issues
r.ScreenPercentage=100
; Disabling VRS
r.VRS.Enable=0
r.VRS.EnableImage=0
; We will render at 100%, no need to upsample
r.TemporalAA.Upsampling=0
; Ignore these 3
r.TemporalAACatmullRom=1
r.TemporalAA.R11G11B10History=1
r.TemporalAA.HistoryScreenPercentage=100
; You CAN TWEAK these 2, see below
r.TemporalAASamples=2
r.TemporalAACurrentFrameWeight=0.08
; Disables FXAA
r.FXAA.Quality=0
; This will force TAA:
r.AntiAliasingMethod=2
; You can try 2, but I personally get very blurry pass so I stick with 0:
r.TemporalAA.Quality=0
Save the engine.ini file
Right-click on the engine.ini file, then go to properties
At the bottom under attributes, check the read-only box
Start the game
There is a possibility that this will bring your framerate down, as the game will be rendering at 100%, instead of 50% upscaled. All credit goes to KeinZantezuken on reddit for these fixes! Here is the link to the reddit post-

If you are still getting the gamethread timeout fatal error after this, Try this(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yh8-c-AsSp8):
Press Windows Key + R, then type in regedit
Navigate to- Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\GraphicsDrivers
Right-click in big right hand box and hit new DWORD 32 bit value
Change name to TdrLevel
Right-click TdrLevel and hit modify
Click decimal, and make sure value is 0
Right-click and make another new DWORD 32 bit value
Name this one TdrDelay
Right click TdrDelay and hit modify
Click decimal, and change value to 60
Right-click once more and make new DWORD 32 bit value
Name it TdrDdiDelay
Right click TdrDdiDelay and hit modify
Click decimal, and change value to 60
Restart PC
Delete D3DSCache in %localappdata%
Run game
Follow the instruction on how to verify files but click browse instead of verify(or simply manage instead of properties and click browse from there)
First click “uninstallAntiCheat '', then “installAntiCheat” after this it should be fixed. If these files aren't available make sure you have Evrima beta branch and then verify game files.
- update your graphics drivers;
- if they're already up-to-date, uninstall your graphics drivers with DDU and reinstall them;
- if you have a Nvidia GPU, uninstall Geforce Experience and manually install the drivers through the Nvidia website;
- lower the FPS limit;
- lower your graphics settings;
- lower your resolution;
- disable Riva Tuner Statistics Server (it comes with MSI Afterburner);
- revert your GPU's overclocking including if it's overclocked from the factory;
- disable third-party software like for example any RGB software;
- configure The Isle to use your dedicated GPU: go in Windows settings > System > Display > scroll down and click on ”Graphic settings” > under ”Graphic performance preferences”, click on ”Browse”. Once here, follow this path to find The Isle app: This PC > Local C: drive > Programs (x86) > Steam > steamapps > Common > The Isle > TheIsle > Binaries > Win64 > select ”TheIsle-Client-Win64-Shipping” app (only click once) and then click on ”Add”. Once that's done, click on ”Options”, choose ”high performances” and confirm.
"You can create a new steam library with the steam client. Go to steam -> configuration -> Storage. There you can assign a new storage when clicking on +. Than the new storage shows up. Now you can move in the same window the isle to the new storage (where a new steam library was created). And than try again
Of course you need for that try a diffrent storage and Partitition (I also had it before on Disk C)"
Type cmd in the Windows research bar, right-click on command prompt, choose ”run as an
administrator”.
Type “netsh winsock reset”(without quotes), press enter, close the command prompt and restart your computer.
In netsh winsock dosent work try:
netsh winsock reset(agein)
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /registerdns
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
Otherwise:
Step 1 go into the folders to: Steam >Steamapps> common>The Isle> TheIsle > Binaries > Win64
Step 2: In the folder you're now in (Win64) you should see a file called TheIsleClient-Win64-Shipping. If you do, then you're in the right place. In this folder, create a text file named steam_appid. (A normal .txt file)
Step 3: open up your new steam_appid text file that you just created and add 376210 to the file. Just the numbers, nothing else. that is The Isle's Steam App ID
Step 4: Check and see if the game starts properly and you should be set with no more steam subs system error message and can play normally
If it doesn't work, it's Steam that's down in your area.
