Job Description
BioWare Montreal Senior Character Artist
Responsibilities:
• Work with a team of artists through all stages of development to create, own and implement character assets into the game
• Collaborate with your lead and key stakeholders to identify risks, quality standards and technical improvements in order to create character content.
• Be proactive in communicating progress and resolution of problems to team and leads.
• Actively contribute to critiques and mentorship of peers work, reviewing content in-game.
Requirements:
• 5+ years of experience as a Character Artist working on AAA titles.
• A thorough understanding of organic and hardsurface modeling, anatomy and form.
• Excellent knowledge of texturing, shader creation, color balance and lighting
• Strong ability in 3D software (Max, Maya, XSI, Zbrush, Mudbox)
• Ability to collaborate and problem solve with multiple disciplines (gameplay, animation, concept)
• Demonstrable experience with physically based rendering is desirable
