Sports

Gr 7-8

Grade 7-8 boys trying out for tier 2 hockey.  The next tryout session is NOT Monday, as that is a holiday!  Information for the next tier 2 session will be posted on the 7-8 athletics bulletin board next week.

Gr 9-12

A shout-out to the varsity girls hockey team on their massive upset win yesterday!  We were huge underdogs as we played the top team in the West in the quarter-final game, and despite being outshot 65 to 14, Abby L stood on her head in the net and the girls won 2-1 in a shootout.  Cassie S and Becca H scored two beauty shootout goals.

There is a very important meeting for the Jr. Boys Volleyball team and practice players at the beginning of lunch today, by the wood floor gym.

Congrats to the Jr boys basketball team who won their opening playoff game last night against Ridgemont. The boys will play on Tuesday at Ashbury.

There will be a quick meeting in room 171 at lunch for any Jr boys interested in playing rugby this year.

Another congratulations to the girls curling team. They defeated Longfields Davidson last night by a score of 12-5. They move on to the city championships next Tuesday.
