2016 Executive Committee
Time and time again we have seen that the true mark of a nation, or a community for that matter, is how they act towards their fellow human beings and to their surroundings.
The JSCNC Community, not only rises to the occasion when situations dictate, but we go out of our way to help others. From contributing towards the well-being of animals in other States, to pitching in to keep our streets and highways clean, to contributing towards helping feed the hungry. All this, while we contributed towards the many events we hold in our own community.
Your contributions, monetarily and with your precious time and energy, is so much appreciated, that there are really no words to describe it. I hope it is enough to simply say, “Thank you”.
I’m proud to be a member of such a community, and on behalf of the Executive Committee of 2016, we thank you for your continued support to the committee and the community at large.
Looking forward to a great 2017! In the meantime, enjoy the holidays with family and friends. And keep safe in your travels.

Weekly Mahavir Puja
Every Saturday, a Mahavir Puja is performed at the Hindu Temple. Volunteers sign up to perform this Puja, and are assigned specific Saturdays.
The Puja is very simple and takes less than one hour. It is a great way to teach and prepare children with this important ritual, so that they find confidence in performing it during daily routine, special occasions or even pilgrimages in India. Children will learn how to perform the kesar Puja and all aspects of Asht prakari Puja.
Mrs. Rekha Banker, who coordinates weekly Puja, will be happy to demonstrate in person, and has several books with illustrations to help. If you are interested, please contact her at email@example.com or at (919) 676-4548.
