Hello my fellow Postcard Writers, I am asking for support of the USS Fitzgerald family. I'm stationed here in Yokosuka, Japan and, as I'm sure you've heard, one of our ships was involved in a collision and we lost seven sailors. 300+ survived, but they are exhausted, mentally and physically. These mostly young males, but many females, were asleep when this happened so they had almost nothing when they escaped with their lives. I would love if we could send cards of encouragement and support to these sailors who have risked everything to serve our country and are mourning seven members of their family. I've been helping since it happened, trying to get each of them what they physically need, but many are very young, 18-25 years old and most are unmarried, far away from home/ family/ support. Young men and women just beginning their lives and careers. They've been through a lot and maybe knowing that their country is behind them, might be a little push toward happiness again. I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you for all you do!
