Task 15

You have finally settled into your new house. Write a letter to you friend and describe your home according to the plan:

-         the area where your house is situated;

-         describe the exterior of the house (appearance, gardens);

-         describe the interior (rooms, furniture, pictures, etc)

Dear Ann,

             I haven’t written you for ages because I was busy. I am in my new house, at last! It’s in a beautiful area not far from the city centre. It is near the shops and the main road.

It is a large house. It has got three bedrooms, a big bathroom and a study with a big bookcase. There is a spacious living-room with a fireplace, a comfortable sofa and two armchairs. There is a modern kitchen with a cooker, a dishwasher and a fridge.

My favourite room is my bedroom, because it is very pretty. It’s got a brown carpet on the floor and a large window with a great view of the city. My comfortable bed is next to the dressing-table. There is a small table, a big bookcase, a large wardrobe, a TV and a CD player in my bedroom. I’ve also got some pictures on the walls.

My house has also got a beautiful garden with lots of flowers in it. We can have barbecues in our garden.
