MENTAL HEALTH WEEK WORKSHEET

The mental health week was created to raise awareness about the importance of mental health and this worksheet will serve us by doing a daily exercise during this week to identify things that are important to pay attention to and take care of. Let's do it!

Day 1: Mindful Moments

Spend 5 minutes calming your mind and body by practicing mindfulness. It helps to relax, let your eyes be lazy and breathe out, and concentrate on the current situation. If you are not asleep, pay attention to any tingling, pulsing, or other physical perceptions in your body, and any ideas or concerns that may be going through your mind.

Day 2: Gratitude Journaling

To enhance my positivity, I will write down three things I am grateful for: Consider why you find these things enjoyable and the role they take in improving your health and life.

Day 3: Move Your Body

Sustained physical activity throughout the day for at least half an hour. It can serve as a form of light jogging, yoga or simply moving to a favorite music. Always stand up and dance energetically to feel the happiness hormones in your body.

Day 4: Digital Detox

Take a break from screens for at least an hour today. Disconnect yourself from the internet and any form of screen which includes telephone, laptop, or Television Instead, enjoy various tasks that don't involve any screen, such as reading books, walking in nature, or spending quality time with your loved ones.

Day 5: Creative Expression

Express yourself creatively today. It can be drawings, paintings, poetry, or even writing a simple essay. Let yourself be creative in any way possible for a minimum of 1hr a day. Allow yourself to enjoy the creation process and let go of perfectionism.

Day 6: Reach Out

As a tip for managing stress, keep your emotions and thoughts close to your heart and discuss them with someone you trust. It may be a friend, a family member, or a therapist, since the simple fact that someone listens to your feelings can help.

Day 7: Self-Compassion

Practice self-compassion today. This idea can be best summed up with the help of such words: ‘Be gentle with yourself, just the way you would be with a friend who is going through tough times.’ The craving to be productive constantly can be toxic, so remember that it is okay to not be okay, okay to take a pause, and to be okay with it.
