Meeting Minutes for June 3, 2015

Members Present: Bob N8TVU, Greg AB8RG, Red W8ULC, Jim K8FL, Ted K8TCR, Tim K9TGC, Bob WB0NPN, Dave N8DHW, Paul KC8ZFL, Steve KC8VDT, AC8CS Bob, and KD8JMG Anne.

The meeting opened at 7:00 pm with the Pledge of Allegiance and member introductions.

The reading of last month’s minutes was suspended because they are posted on the web site. A motion was made by Ted K8TCR to accept the minutes, as posted on the web site, and was seconded by Red W8ULC. The motion passed.

Monthly Meeting Presentation - Bob N8TVU gave a very interesting presentation on rebuilding and using the club emergency generator. See this website for the presentation slides.

Treasurer's Report - Bob N8TVU gave the Treasurer's report. A motion was made by Ted K8TCR to accept the report, as read, and was seconded by Red W8ULC. The motion passed.

Trustee Meeting - Minutes were presented by Bob N8TVU.

Technical Committee Report - Bob N8TVU gave the repeater report. All the repeaters are working correctly.

Field Day – 27-28 June, 2015. Operator positions were discussed. For set up, volunteers can report to Butler Tech at 9:00 am. Position assignments will be determined as operators show up. Operators bring your own food and refreshments.

Hamvention Report – Members reported on sales and purchases at Hamvention 2015. Everyone reported a great time and several items were bought and sold.

Yaesu Fusion DR-1X Club Special Purchase - A motion was made by AC8CS Bob to purchase two and possibly three Yaesu DR-1X club special repeaters based on donations collected from members with no club funds being used. The Yaesu DR-1X repeater will replace two or three of the existing club repeaters. Yaesu DR-1X club special details are posted on the Yaesu web site. The motion was seconded by Ted K8TCR. The motion passed.

Monthly Presentation Schedule – The monthly presentation schedule has been reworked. A special presentation on the club generator rebuild an operating procedures took place in this month. The schedule on the website is adjusted by slipping everything one month.

A motion made by Red W8ULC and seconded by AC8CS Bob to close the meeting. The motion passed.
