CHEETHAM
Dear Cllr Ali
I am writing to you as a resident of Cheetham ward to register my concern at your vote in favour of the Shudehill Salboys development at the Planning & Highways Committee meeting on 27th June.
Having looked at the representations made at the meeting I am very concerned that you saw fit to allow this development, considering the powerful arguments made against it by local residents and several councillors, including all three representatives of the ward in question. The tower was previously rejected twice by your committee, and yet last month you chose to accept a version of the proposal that was even higher and more out of scale with its surroundings than before, and entirely for market sale.
Please could you let me know what it was in the application that persuaded you that this was right for the Northern Quarter?
I would like to know what the arguments were that convinced you this time.
Yours sincerely,
<YOUR NAME>
