This Unit We Will… Math: This week we continued to work on finding the product using a standard algorithm but with decimals! (Ex: 257 x 2.4)  ELA: In ELA this week, we learned how to write a summary of an informative text by combining all of the main ideas of each paragraph in the passage.  We also started learning about the homeland of the Nez Perce, the tribe that is featured in our upcoming novel, Thunder Rolling in the Mountains.  Science:  Students are continuing to learn about the human body systems.. We are studying the skeletal, muscular, respiratory, circulatory, and nervous systems. Social Studies:   We are continuing our Native American studies unit. Now, we are starting our in-depth study of the Nimmipu people. We are learning about their beliefs, culture, creation stories, and their way of life. | |
