New Before & After School Pick Up Procedures

St. Mark is continually working on ways to make our school the safest environment possible.  In a recent faculty meeting the faculty came up with two ways to improve our drop off and pick up procedures.  As always if you have any questions or concerns please contact Principal Gut.

Before School:  When students are dropped off before the school doors open at 7:45 am and the weather does not allow them to stay outside, these students will enter the school using the church doors facing the parking lot.  The students will then wait in the church entry area until 7:45am.  This will allow the person on morning door duty to let students in and watch those that have arrived.

After School:  Due to the bus pick up and the traffic children who are picked up on the Thorndale St. side of school will no longer be able to cross the street by themselves.  If parents are parked on the South side of Thorndale St. will need to come to the school side of street and get their children.

Winter Weather Procedures

Cancellations: Listen or watch for Green Bay Public and Private/Parochial School Closings or Delays. In this event, St. Mark Green Bay AND De Pere will cancel as well.

Delays: Occasionally school will be delayed 2 hours. School will then begin at 10:00 a.m. with NO MORNING KINDERGARTEN OR MORNING PRESCHOOL. Please do not bring your children prior to 9:45 a.m. Buses will run 2 hours later than normal.

Early Dismissals: If weather conditions become hazardous while your children are already at school, the possibility does exist that school may dismiss early. We ask that you again listen or watch for school closings. It is also important to discuss with your children ahead of time what they should do in the event school closes early. Students should know where they need to go and if they should take the bus, etc. Children sometimes get nervous if they don’t know what to do in these situations.

There will be no after school child care or athletic practices when school dismisses early.
