Based on testing and Steorn’s video, a putative circuit diagram has been drawn up by Dieter_G and Rob King, and supported by other commenters (Figure 6, revised Feb 17 by Rob King based on official dialog with Shaun from Steorn).
-Mon Feb 29:
An Orbo core used in the Ophone (without all the extraneous circuitry) arrived, sent by Steorn due to difficulties with the Ocube. The size of the potted section of the pack is 38 x 98 x 13 mm. The weight of the pack, including the 9 Volt battery, is 98.8 grams.

-Sunday Mar 13:
Possible circuit diagram of Ophone Orbo core posted by FC (Figure 9).
-Mon Feb 8:
Ocube unit (Figure 1) arrived in mail. Stated by Steorn to lack Li-ion battery, but contain 5F capacitor. Capable of keeping a small array of 3 LEDs and power monitor lit for ~2 hours (Figure 2) (half that time may have been 1.5 W LED lamp (Figure 3)). Capable of lighting again after unknown length of charging time.
-Tue Feb 9:
Attempt to charge mobile devices unsuccessful. Ocube continues to light LEDs after charge period, but no longer for hour lengths.

Timestamp 1:05-1:08: 1.5 W LED light time ~3 sec
Timestamp 3:36-3:37: 1.5 W LED light time ~1 - 1.5 sec
-Wed Feb 10:
Attempt to use PortaPow Premium USB power monitor unsuccessful, apparently due to not being able to trigger USB port. LEDs light up as previously (1- 1.5 sec). USB port shut off under ~4 V, full testing of stored energy not possible through USB.

Following guidance from Shaun at Steorn, a circuit was designed incorporating two 9 V batteries and 1M Ohm resistor to be applied between the U1 (positive) and U2 (negative) terminals that straddle the Orbo core (Figure 7) to mimic the original circuitry (Figure 6). The visible red lead inside the Ocube was clipped (top middle of Figure 5, seen clipped in Figure 7) to disconnect the internal circuits from the Orbo core prior to connection of the homemade circuit.
