Grade 6 Liturgy
On Tuesday, April 26th, the Grade 6 students travelled to Holy Spirit School by bus, then made a pilgrimage to Sacred Heart High School for the Year of Mercy Grade 6 liturgy. Students from the elementary feeder schools for Sacred Heart attended and our students thoroughly enjoyed the walk and the liturgy.
School Council Meeting
The next meeting of the St. Stephen Catholic School Council will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at 6:30pm in the school staff room. Please see the Agenda for the meeting. Education Week Open House
A reminder that next week is Education Week. As part of our activities, we will be holding an Open House on Thursday, May 5, 2016, from 8:30-9:30am. Parents are invited to visit the school and their children’s classrooms. The Open House will be followed by a school liturgy in the gym. All parents are welcome to attend.
Gospel Values Assembly
Our next Gospel Values Assembly is scheduled for Friday, May 13, 2016 at 10:05am. Students who display Stewardship for Creation will be recognized with certificates. All parents are welcome to attend.
Chess Team Competition
Selected members of the Chess Club will be representing the school at a competition being held at Dr F.J. McDonald Catholic School on Thursday, May 5th. We hope all of the team members have fun and we wish them good luck! Go Stallions!
Nanabush and the Ducks Performance
The Grade 4-6 students are very fortunate that they will have the opportunity to attend an Aboriginal Experience performance of “Nanabush and the Ducks” on Wednesday, May 4th, from 10-11am in the gym. This performance will help to illustrate the Social Studies curriculum for the students.
