Why Google Chrome
- It’s device-agnostic
- It saves everything across everything
- bookmarks
- extensions
- passwords/log-ins
- history
- It’s safe
- updates
Multiple Accounts/Management
One of the best parts about using Google Chrome is the ability to organize your Chrome browser through multiple accounts - at the same time. So if your school email and your personal email both use gmail, you can open a gmail window for each without the need to log in or out of either.
- Use the icon in the top right corner of your browser

- Click on “Users” from your computer’s menu
- To add a new user, either:
- click “Users” from your computer’s menu, or

- open “Settings” from Chrome’s “menu” button
- **Note: You may only have one user per Google account.

- Tabs that you always want open

- Keep them open, without taking up space on your tab bar

- To “Pin” a tab, right-click on the tab and choose “Pin Tab”
- To unpin a tab, simply right-click on the tab, and select “Unpin Tab”

- Quick, easy link to your favorite/most visited websites
- Buttons instead of words
- To create a Bookmark Button
- save a Bookmark by clicking the star button at the end of the omnibox, or selecting “Bookmarks” from the menu
- Choose to save in “Bookmarks Bar”
- Delete “Name:” of Bookmark

- Google Chrome updates automatically
- Constantly improving, making more secure
- Updates occur when an update has been identified, and you completely quit out of Chrome
- If you have not quit Google Chrome in a while, Google will signal how long ago an update became ready for you to download. This is a way of indicating that you should update your browser. Chrome will signal this by changing the color of the “menu” button:
= up to date
= update has been available for 2 days
= update has been available for 4 days
= update has been available for 7 days
