The Krontron

By: Katelyn Roache

I am in Sam’s math class at TMS, and this is my final project from the class. It is inspired by the Nicholas Feltron project (http://feltron.com/). Each member of our class made one of these projects. This is my individual project, so it has true information about things that I did or that happened to me from February 1st, 2016, to March 9th, 2016.

These first two charts relate to my productivity. Each day I rated myself on how productive I was, from 1-5. You’ll notice that I never gave myself a 1 or a 5. I guess this is because I never thought that I was at my max productivity throughout the entire day, and I also never thought that I was not at all productive throughout the day.

The first line chart here, shows my levels of productivity per day.

This next pie chart shows the percentages of times that I rated myself a 2, 3, or 4 for productivity.

My next chart is a pie chart displaying the percentages of days that I saw different amounts of commercials. These do not includes all types of advertisements, because that would be a lot more, just commercials.

Now we have another pie chart, but this one is a donut pie chart. Also this one is different from of the previous pie charts, because it features the percentages of times that I remembered various numbers of dreams.

Now we have a horizontal bar chart that combines the last 2 charts. It shows the comparison of commercials I saw verses the dreams that I remembered. The average dreams I remembered a night was 1.5 and the average commercials I saw a day was 2.5.

Next, this chart portrays the hours of time I spend on homework per day.

Now in this chart, I put the time I spent on homework compared to the time I spent dancing every day. The two categories are actually closer to each other than I thought they would be, but this does still show that I spend more time on homework than I do dancing, which is what I expected. The average time I spend on homework is 2:00 and my average time spent dancing a day is 1:10.

The last things that I kept track of was my bedtime and wakeup time everyday.

So my average time to go to bed is at 11:20pm and my average time to wake up is 7:00am. I find this odd that my average wakeup time is 7:00am, because every weekday morning I wake up at 6:30am, so I thought that my average time would be earlier. Maybe on the weekends when I sleep in, those times really set the average time to later.

So considering these averages it doesn’t really make sense to me, but my average time slept every night is 7:45. It would be more understandable if the average was 7:40, but I guess that it’s close enough.

Anyways, this is less time than teens my age should be sleeping, but it’s not as bad as I thought it might be.

Thank you for looking at my Krontron Project! Hope you enjoyed!
