Studio Inventory, p. 63 (331): Study of a Lady, seated, wearing Black Dress with a white collar. A dog is beside her.
This preparatory study provides some evidence of the original composition for the finished version [10066] that was cut down at the request of Lady Waechter. It remained in the artist’s studio until his death and its current whereabouts is unknown. A second finished picture [10068], similarly seated but without the dog, was also cut down.
