License2HOWL Freshmen Scholarships

Seven License2HOWL Scholarships are available for the 2018-19 academic year for incoming freshmen at Arkansas State University. These scholarships are valued at $5,000 for the year and are renewable for recipients who continue to meet criteria and re-apply.

Beginning this year, we will be utilizing the application process for incoming freshmen through the University’s privately funded scholarship process.

The application link will be available from December 2, 2018 - February 1, 2019.

L2H scholarships are for Arkansas residents who will be full-time freshmen on the Jonesboro campus, have a minimum ACT score of 23 and a high school GPA of 3.25 or above. Also, please note the acceptable GPA has changed from 3.5 to 3.25 in an effort to accommodate more students, giving them the opportunity to receive one of these awards. The selection committee will evaluate demonstrated leadership qualities and student involvement.

Funded by alumni and friends who purchase the A-State license plate through the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration, these official collegiate license plates were approved by the Arkansas General Assembly in 1993; $25 of the $35 annual fee is earmarked for the program.
