UPDATE #11

5:00 PM UPDATE

January 2, 2022

Dear HTSD Community,

At this time, due to COVID, HTSD is experiencing significant staffing shortages that will carry on through the week due to required quarantine times. As a result:

• We will conduct remote instruction from Monday, January 3, 2022 until Friday, January 7, 2022. During this time, we will monitor staffing with the hope of returning to in-person education on Monday, January 10, 2022.

During remote instruction, the following will occur:

• Teachers are required to provide live, virtual instruction (daily);
• Core instructional platforms (ie: Seesaw, Google Classroom, etc) will be utilized;
• Students are required to utilize their district-issued device (if you have a Pre-K student at home who do not have access to a device please fill out this form);
• Students are responsible for virtual attendance and completion/submission of daily work;
• All schools will follow their regular school/bell schedule (ie: times for specific subjects/classes).
• Food distribution will be provided. More information will follow.

Please remember to contact your child’s teacher and/or building principal with additional questions.

We are also working to provide our staff with COVID-19 testing in an effort to address the difficulty many in our community (and around the state) are experiencing with testing shortages.
