Central High School Announcements
~ Students please remember that CHS is a closed campus at lunch time meaning students, you are to remain on site throughout the lunch period. Leaving school without permission is a violation of the student code of conduct.
~ PM TT Students who drive to TT - remember once you leave you may not return to CHS until after your TT class
~ Students you are reminded that student parking is available in the student lot only. Seniors,you may park in the empty spaces of the back row of the main parking lot facing Susan Avenue. Violations to parking expectations and/or driving regulations is a violation of CHS policy and parking privileges can be revoked.
~ Domino's lunch orders must be place by 10:45 am. You must be in the office at the time of delivery UNLESS your order is prepaid and then it may be left on the counter in the front office. Drivers are only able to wait 5 minutes for delivery payment before they must return to the store. Those with unpaid (returned) orders will be banned from future deliveries to school. So, eat PIZZA responsibly!
~ Senior Picnic will be June 5. The cost is $20. See Mrs. H. Walters or Coach Foltz to sign-up.
~ Class of 2017 - Continue checking your email for the latest scholarship information and seeing your counselor on a regular basis and please notify your counselor if you are the recipient of a scholarship.
~ Tryouts for the 2017 color guard will continue through tomorrow from 4:00-6:00 meet in the band room. No experience necessary!
~ Auditions for the 2017 Drumline and Pit will be on May 23 and 24 from 3:30-5:00 in the band room. No experience necessary!
~ FFA members need to turn in their FFA points sheet by the end of the day today to Mrs H.
~ Help end childhood cancer! From now until Friday, May 26, the Interact Club will have mason jars in the first block classes to collect change/donations. The class with the MOST money raised at the end will receive Strites Donuts for the class on June 2. All donations will be given to St. Baldricks. If we raise $1000.00, Mrs. M Walters and Mr. Shaffer will shave their heads. Currently in 1st place is Mr. McCarthy followed by Mr. Foltz.
~ Attention all CHS girls, if you're interested in trying out for volleyball next year there will be an informational meeting regarding open gyms and tryouts on Thursday May 25 at 7:55 AM in the new gym. If you are unable to attend, see Coach Beylor.
School Counseling Center (SCC)
~ Friends of the North Fork of the Shenandoah River is offering a summer intern position. Applicants should have an interest in environmental science and conservation as well as a desire to learn more about Friends programs and activities. See your school counselor if you are interested in this opportunity.
