Announcements from the Lion’s Den
This week we wrap up our Geology Unit with an awesome share Wednesday of our Rock Cycle projects. Videos, comics, slide shows and mini-books will tell the story of the forces acting our earth’s surface and deep beneath the crust.. On Thursday, we will end our study with a trip to Barre, taking in Vermont’s rich history with Granite. Readers will continue to work in book groups analyzing their character- noticing and noting traits and the outside influences that impact them and generating theme statements from the lessons learned. In math, we will launch a new unit called Comparing Bits & Pieces. This week the focus will be writing comparison statements and ratios. In writing, we will be wrapping up our geology projects and preparing for our final on-demand narrative essay.
