Jooble job search service’s localization project, 16 languages
Jooble service is a popular aggregator of job ads. It lets a candidate search through an extensive and regularly updated database of vacant positions from the most popular job boards all over the world. Jobble is now working in 60 countries.
Alconost Translations has done a lot to make it happen: we’ve localized the interface of the service, translated all the data and legal metadata for Jooble.org into 16 languages:
The interesting fact is, that Jooble decided to translate their content not only to the popular European and Asian languages, but also to exotic Tagalog. Have you ever heard about this language before? We bet you haven’t, and meanwhile this is a native language for more than 50 millions of Philipinos!
The original materials were provided as docx files with the copy mixed with HTML data and the links to screenshots giving some extra information regarding the context of this or that piece of copy. We were translating inside HTML code, and the specialists working at the localization kept the initial form untouched, so the integration of the localized content into the system cost the client mimimal effort and time. All the translations were made by native speakers and the top class specialists with extended experience of work with HTML-coded documents.
When all the localized copy was added to the system we made full linguistic testing of the website. So all the wrong-sized lines were adjusted to fit the allocated windows, all the context-based imperfections were amended.
You can revise the result of our work on jooble.org, please feel free to choose from the dropdown list of the countries the one you need.
We’re glad to say that we gave Jooble service an opportunity to help millions of people speaking different languages in their search of a dream job!
