2013 Executive Committee
What a great year we’ve had! The final “big” event, Camp Lalit was a great success this year! Adults and children alike, everyone enjoyed this two day retreat. On behalf of the executive committee, I want to thank everyone who helped make this event a big success. We were fortunate to have Shri Bhadrabahuji this year who led a great set of discourses. If you have taken any pictures/videos and would like to share with the community, please send an email to me!
Also, as a quick reminder if you have not paid your camp dues please make sure you bring your checkbook at the next meeting.

Mr. Pravin K. Shah
JSCNC is one of the proud sponsors of Raleigh Crop walk 2013. This year’s Raleigh Crop Walk at Marble Kids Museum will be on October 27, 2013 from 1:30 pm through 4:30 pm.
This year JSCNC members already donated $641.00 so far. We are at present on top of the list.
Ajay Shah is fiscal agent since 2008. Please contact Mr. Ajay R. Shah 919-601-2624 or email email@example.com if you would like to participate. Please also let him know your exact name and school name if you would like to have volunteering certificate for your time.
CROP Hunger Walks help children and families worldwide - and right here in North Carolina - to have food for today, while building for a better tomorrow. Our local efforts are making a huge difference, and so can you. The CROP Hunger Walk is the heart and "sole" of Raleigh! It is the only event that brings together all members of our community - young and old, all faiths and walks of life for a common goal - to end hunger, one step at a time! Our Walk engages a broad cross-section of the community in service to the neediest of the world.
It is an interfaith, community-oriented event that (1) raises funds to help hungry people, (2) raises awareness of hunger as an issue, (3) engages and trains volunteers for community service, and (4) brings together persons of many ages and backgrounds in a common endeavor.
There are solutions. Working together, we can build a world where there is enough for all.
Highway Cleanup - Fall Edition
Our center participates in Adopt-A-Highway cleanup twice a year. The statewide Adopt-A-Highway program was established in 1988 and is a joint effort between community volunteers and NC Department of Transportation to keep our roads clean. JSCNC adopted a stretch of Highway 54 in Cary between Morrisville Parkway and Airport Boulevard. This stretch was named in honor of Mr. Lalit Banker.
Again this Fall, we are planning to clean up our segment of highway 54 near the Hindu Temple. This is a fun time for the family to get together, have hot breakfast, and do our part for community. This is one way of saying “Thank You” to the community we live in.
We will meet at 9 AM at Neomonde Restaurant on Route 54 on Sunday, October 13th.
The address is: 10235 Chapel Hill Road (Hwy. 54), Morrisville, NC 27560.
The deadline to RSVP has passed, but if you are planning to go, please let Pritesh know.
