A photo-day outdoors at Island Terrace
When the conditions are precise, sunrises at Island Terrace are absolutely stunning.
East View looks over the south end of Pocksha Pond. This is part of the Quitticas Public Water Supply.
Bird House? No, it is a birdy condominium. We have dozens of different types of birds that live here, many year-round.
Island Terrace is situated on a natural flyway, making this area a bird-watcher’s paradise.
Cool Under the Old Oak, facing South, where we hold our Summer Lawn Concerts, alternate Wednesday outdoor lunches, and generally enjoy sitting with family, chatting, and enjoying the view.
Cranberry Harvest in Front
Every fall, the bogs go from a sea of green to Red White and Blue.
We are blessed with cranberry bogs to the south and west. It is almost as if they are harvested just for our enjoyment!
Picnic, our North Point
Summers we have Wednesday picnics on the point - if not under the Oak. Cool breezes, tasty camp-out food from the grill. Yum!
We even use the outdoors after dinner. Roasting marshmallows and ‘smores over an open pit fire, just like days of ‘yor.
