1. Read through these directions before you begin.

3. Follow the first set of directions to set up a Newsela account and join your class.
4. Once you are signed in, go to your binder.
5. Open the article entitled   "Hunger Games" salute leads to arrests of Thai protesters.
6. Notice you can change the reading level.  Try reading the article at a few different levels to see which one is right for you.
7. Now read the article “Amid battle over keeping whales in captivity, some aquariums scale back”. You can select the reading level you feel is best.
8. Take the quiz.
9. Finally, read the article PRO/CON: Should U.S. grant Ukraine's urgent request for military aid?  and do the quiz.
10. If you don’t finish, finish the articles and quizzes by Thursday.
11. If you do finish, work on Study Island.
