Last year many of you took the pledge to Say Something and to

Look for signs.

Act immediately.

Say something to a trusted adult.

Let’s remember our pledge and take it seriously.

 

Students belong on the blacktop before school,. Do.not wander the halls

 

Child and Babysitting Safety Certification    If you would like to take this class, please pick up a registration form in the Student Center or register online at http://nevco.org/super-sitter or in person at the Nevada County Superintendent of Schools office.  Must be 12 years old or in 7th-grade.  Cost of class is $35.00.  Registration deadline is March 1st.

 

7th and 8th grade girls volleyball tryouts start next Monday 2/26 at 7:15am in the gym.  Please have a sports packet filled out and turned into Coach Evans room B2 or bring it with you on the first day of tryouts.

 

Stamp Club meets every Thursday during all lunches in B7, Come join the fun! .

Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning - SAEL - An alternative high school -  Will have a few Information Sessions for students and families coming up 2/28, 3/5, 3/14, 3/20 from 5 - 6:30pm.

SAEL offers a rigorous project based college-prep curriculum - and would love to add students to their crew who love to learn!   Check out SAEL's Guidance website

Attention Skiers and snowboarders!  The second ski trip has been postponed due to lack of snow at Donner Ski Ranch.  We will wait until the ski resort has snow and reschedule the trip to that time.  Wait for an announcement in the bulletin.  Again, no ski trip on February 21st.  It will hopefully be held at a later date.  Stay tuned.

Pennies for Patients Drive:

Lyman Gilmore is collecting change for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. This organization is the world’s largest non-profit health organization dedicated to finding cures for blood cancers.

Snacks for Seniors:

The Leadership Club is collecting snacks for seniors to help spread joy for Valentine's Day.  They will be collecting snacks for the next two weeks, then filling goodie bags to take to the various senior centers in our area.  Please bring in small bags of crackers, cookies, chips, granola bars or candy to donate to this great service project!  All goodies will be collected at lunch times in room D5.
