The itinerary and travel dates are customizable.

This initial itinerary is a sample itinerary and does not reflect any academic programs. ARAMFO offers its travel courses to all fields of study. Therefore, our initial itineraries serve as a reference for the types of activities and locations available in the region. All customizations for academic programs are made on a case by case basis.

Day 2
Airport - Nairobi Hotel

Pick up from the airport and transfer to your Nairobi hotel for dinner. Quick tour briefing for your adventure holiday. Stay for the night.

Day 3
Nairobi - Naivasha

Drive through Kikuyu farmland to the edge of the Rift Valley. Camp at the shores of lake Naivasha to enjoy its large bird and hippo population.
Walk with the animals on a guided Crescent Island adventure tour.
Dinner in Nairobi.

Day 4
Naivasha- Lake Nakuru

After breakfast, leave for Nakuru, the city of fabulous color.
Enjoy an afternoon adventure with wildlife including the elusive black and white rhino.
Dinner in Nakuru.

Days 5-6
Nakuru - Kakamega

After breakfast, depart Nakuru town and drive to Kakamega, a tropical rainforest.


On day 5, stretch your legs with a morning guided adventure walk to learn more about the contents of this endangered forest.

Day 7
Kakamega – Kisumu

Wake up in the morning and drive to Kisumu, the third largest city in Kenya after Nairobi and Mombasa.  
Enjoy the colourful open air market interacting with the Luo community, the second largest tribe in Kenya .

Day 8

Kisumu - Kendu Bay

Depart Kisumu in the early morning after breakfast for Kendu Bay to experience traditional African homestay in the hills above Kendu Bay.

Days 9
Kendu Bay

Depart Kendu bay via Kericho, to see the largest tea growing town in Kenya. You will also pass by Kisii, the soapstone center of East Africa.

Arrive in Maasai Mara.
Dinner in Maasai Mara camping area.

Day 10
Maasai Mara

After breakfast, explore the park’s amazingly high concentration of wildlife.

This game reserve is Kenya’s finest wildlife sanctuary including well over 450 species. The famous Maasai tribesmen live within the dispersal area of the game reserve.

Lunch is served in the park

Dinner at the campsite.

Day 11
Masaai Mara/Nairobi

Early morning animal drive in Maasai Mara, followed by a late breakfast at the campsite.

Departure to Nairobi, stopping occasionally for the breathtaking panoramic views of the rift valley and adjacent landforms.

The tour ends in Nairobi late in the afternoon.
