Dear Mr. de Laszlo,

Your phone message of last Friday was telegraphed to me, and I immediately telephoned to you from the country, where I was, but was informed that you were out. I left a message to say that I would ring up on Saturday morning at 10 o’clock, which I did, getting through to you about 10.30 to 10.45, when I was told that you were engaged. I quite understood. However, I asked that you might ring me up when you were free, and on my return yesterday morning I again telephoned to you, as you were no doubt informed.

Unfortunately, this week it is difficult for me to get away from the gallery, but I will come and see you if convenient next Monday evening between 5 and 6 o’clock

Yours sincerely,

WP Winchester
