Task - Road Trip

Your task is to make a virtual road trip of the United States, and tell your family and friends about your experiences during the trip in a blog. You can choose between the eleven different routes presented on the blog Road Trip USA and you can choose if you want to complete the task by yourself or with a group of people.

Time frame

Your trip will be five weeks long (35 days) and the trip will start on January 31 (Day 1). During these five weeks you will post a minimum of five blog posts. At least two of these blog posts should be written, and at least one should be some kind of audio (ex. video, slideshow with audio, podcast).

Kunskapskrav

The main things being evaluated in this task is:

• the quality of your written and spoken English
• your ability to find and use material that is not your own, in your own production
• your ability to compare American and Swedish culture

The “situation”

You are yourself. You (and your friends) have decided to go on a road trip and explore the United States. You have saved up money! You have even gotten time off school to do it! But, your family, your teachers, as well as your friends, have said that they want to be able to see how you do on your journey, and so you have agreed to create a blog for your trip. These people are your audience and the content should be suitable for their eyes.

Make your blog as “real” as you can!
