A Note from the Principal

Dear Students and Families,

This school year has been an extremely rewarding one as it is filled with so many special moments. There are so many fond memories that we’ve shared this year.  I am proud of each Mountain Lion Leader!  You came to school everyday ready to take on new challenges and practice essential standards that prepared you for the next grade. As you reflect on the experiences you’ve had, create new goals for yourself both academically and personally.  Mountain Lion Leaders strive to do their best in all that they do no matter if it is preparing for a test, working collaboratively with peers to accomplish a task, or being a good friend.  I always remember what Margaret Mead once said, “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.”

Continue to practice the 7 Habits of Leaders:

  • Be Proactive
  • Begin with the End in Mind
  • Put First Things First
  • Think-Win-Win
  • Seek First to Understand, then to Be Understood
  • Synergize
  • Sharpen the Saw

I wish you a safe and enjoyable summer break.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Miller ~ Principal

Message from the Assistant Principal

Greetings, Mountain View Students and Families,

I wanted to take this opportunity to tell you about some changes coming to Mountain View School, for the upcoming 2016-2017 school year.  I have accepted an ESS Coordinator position here in Dysart and will be returning to the district office next year. I am so thankful

to have had the opportunity to work with your children and their families this school year. This year has truly been one of best experiences of my career.

To MVS Students:  You know I care about you very much and think you are the best EVER! I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to be your Assistant Principal. Each of you have inspired me in different ways. As lion leaders, you know, it is always important to set goals and to work toward those goals. A goal I have, is to one day become an Exceptional Student Services Director. I have been working on this goal for a long time. This past year as assistant principal has helped me become one step closer to my future goal. My new position is the next step toward helping me learn the important things I need to know in order to accomplish my goal of becoming an ESS Director. Though I will miss you all tremendously, I will think of you and visit Mountain View often.

Principal Miller and I want you to know that you will be  in excellent hands with our new Assistant Principal Mrs. Connie Wolford. Mrs. Wolford will be a familiar face here at Mountain View as she taught here at MVS for several years and most recently, she has served as the Assistant Principal at Luke and Kingswood.

Thank you, for all of the wonderful memories, experiences and opportunities. May you continue to be life-long learners...always set goals and
never, ever settle for less than your best.

With Deepest Sincerity,

Ms. Shara Rose, Assistant Principal
