SSSA Slopestyle Regionals Aviemore Timetable and Logistics 1. TIMETABLE 0900 - Doors open for school check-in 0900 - Practice slope open for warm up (not the park) 1000 -1045 - Practice session Group 1 in park with coaches Note: Competitors can use the practice slope (not the park) to keep warm when not in their coached practice session 1500 - Prize Giving 2. EQUIPMENT Helmet gloves and long sleeves are compulsory. Please bring appropriate attire for the weather. Those requiring to hire skis, boots and poles must contact the centre in advance to check they have adequate sizes and then arrive early. 3. HELPERS On the day of the event the organisers will require about 10-12 volunteer helpers to ensure the smooth and safe running of the event. All helpers will receive refreshments, a warm welcome and a very big thank you! 5. YOU ARE COVERED Please note that it is mandatory for all competitors to be covered by appropriate public liability insurance when participating in Scottish School snowsports events. This is necessary to ensure that pupils are protected, should they inadvertently cause injury or damage to a third party and have a claim brought against them. Whilst we are aware that many pupils may already be covered through their school, family or snowsports club membership insurance, please rest assured that the SSSA now automatically provides top-up cover to those who do not have this insurance in place.
