The UGA Shotgun Team

About the Team:

The UGA Shotgun Team is an organization led by students who enjoy competing in clay target competitions. We shoot at the collegiate, state, and national levels. While we do shoot other disciplines, our main focus is sporting clays, trap, and skeet. We have weekly practices at Athens Rifle Club and are involved in collegiate level competitions throughout the year. Above all else, we strive to promote the safe handling of firearms.

Practice involves participating in rounds of Skeet, Trap, or 5 Stand, shooter’s preference.

There are no dues to join the club! Members are just required to bring their own shells and cash for rounds at Athens Rifle Club ($4 a round).

We encourage students of all skill levels to get involved, experienced or new to the sport!

Practice Info:

Every Wednesday starting at 4:00 p.m. at Athens Rifle Club (Paradise Valley Rd, Athens, GA 30607)
