Dear Mr. László,

As my feet are unfortunately not yet fit for climbing stairs, I am requesting you by letter to hand me back the lace-work of our unforgettable Queen,[1] which is with you by virtue of the gracious goodwill of the Archduchess Valerie[2] – as the Archduchess has, among other objects, graciously loaned this lace-work also which is presently with you, to the Exhibition which will be held under the patronage of the Archduchess Marie Josefa.
