Purchased new, the cost of these calculators starts around $110, but there are often sales in August.  There are also many used, but perfectly good models available online starting around $55 on sites like eBay or Amazon.

Family and Consumer Education

Foods 1  --  One 2” 3-ring binder and a set of divider tabs (this will be their cookbook and will be kept in the foods classroom). Students will be responsible for providing decorations (candy, cereal, crackers, etc.) for a gingerbread house they will make in class after Thanksgiving.

Foods 2 -  One 2” 3-ring binder and a set of divider tabs (this will be their cookbook and will be kept in the foods classroom). If they have a binder from Foods 1, they just need another set of tabs for Foods 2. Students will be responsible for making and bringing in a baked cake (or cakes) for the cake decorating unit.

Sewing 1 - A Beginner’s Sewing Kit will be provided and charged to the student account. Each student will be assigned a storage box to use during the semester.  Fabric for the various projects will be the responsibility of the student to purchase prior to the start of the project.
