Our Classroom’s Social Media Policy

F - Factual.  Base your posts on facts and good research.  Double check your accuracy.  Understand copyright laws and provide proper credit.

O - Online.  Be sure to have a secure connection and know that on public WiFI your information can be seen by others.

O - Observe.  Observe your teacher and peers and learn from each other to grow in your understanding of technology.

T - Technology.  Devices will include: iPads and netbooks and their apps.

P - Positive.  Social Media should be used to be uplifting, not to bring people down.  Be kind.

R - Respect.  Students will follow the school’s responsible use policy and respect their teachers and peers.

I - Individual.  You are responsible for your own actions.  Be intentional in all you do.

N - Netiquette.  Have good manners online.  Understand the proper ways to communicate your ideas.

T - Transparent.  Understand that everything  you post is permanent.  Not only now, but in the future.  Be honest.  

S - Safety.  Understand your privacy rights.  Be sure to know who you are communicating with and never share your personal information.
