[In de László’s secretary’s hand] Have written saying that you are in Paris and will be returning on Thursday[1]
Dear Mr Laszlo.
A friend of mine has found an old paint box of 1826. It contains, among other things, about 7½ ounces (I think) of real ultramarine in powder form. This has been tested & found to be finer in quality than anything now on the market.
My friend wants to sell it & wondered

if it would be of any interest to you.[2]
I believe the ultramarine is worth about £7 an ounce/
Yrs sincerely
