2013, YEAR IN REVIEW
Looking back on 2013—we realized that it has been a powerful year for Pursuit of Water.
We were able to bring small changes to the nations of Togo, Rwanda, Haiti and Kosovo. This was with our faithful partners and friends who generously shared their unique talents and precious time.
We would like to give thanks to all our partners and friends, and those who worked so hard in their position bringing hope and love. You made a difference.
We will continue our journey on water, believing that we will bring change, and we pray that by working together 2014 will be a year of making our world even better. Cheers!

BRINGING SUSTAINABLE CHANGE TO THE SOCIETY.
TOILET PROJECT, TOGO:
TOILETS FOR BETTER HEALTH, EDUCATION AND LIFE.
2.6 billion people in the world do not have a proper space to
poop, which can lead to sickness, and it is happening…
We had the privilege to install toilet with six latrines in a rural school in Togo. We raised 5,500 swiss franc with a team from Burtigny, which travelled to Togo to help the local partner build the latrines.
We believe that this toilet brought a small change to the community of Togo.
WATER FOR SCHOOL, RWANDA:
GIVE KIDS A CHANCE FOR EDUCATION AND DRINKABLE WATER.
We raised 3,800 swiss franc with a Compassion DTS team from Burtigny, Switzerland to build a rain catchment system in a school in Rwanda.
We believe this project has the potential to bring powerful changes to the entire nation of Rwanda.
ENGAGING IN THE SOCIETY BY CREATE AN INSPIRING MEDIA.
1000+ DAYS AFTER THE QUAKE. ONCE AGAIN, LET’S REMEMBER HAITI.
We completed a short film Aftermath, which was created to raise awareness on deforestation in Haiti. We had an avant premiere event in Switzerland.
We also submitted this 30-minute film to different film festivals and had private screenings in several locations in Europe.
We believe this film will help people understand Haiti as a nation and allow them to engage in the causes.
WATER STORY CAMPAIGN:
WHAT IS YOUR WATER STORY?
We launched the water story campaign early 2013 to raise awareness on water as a global issue.
We used ten different water stories from different regions around the world to present various issues concerning water.
Water is a global issue, however every region has a different story to tell. We wanted our audience to think about their own water stories. We will continue this campaign so that our audience can better understand the global issues that face our world.
BRINGING INTEGRITY IN RELATIONSHIP TO CONNECT WITH PEOPLE.
Research trip to the youngest nation in Europe.
We visited Kosovo in a partnership with Water For Life to research and document the water project in Kosovo. We created a short video for Water For Life's international board meeting.
It was a great trip to understand Kosovo’s water situation and also to connect with key stakeholders .
We are planning a project for later this year, to create a public service announcement to bring a perspective on the pollution of surface water source (such as rivers) in Kosovo.
We love to connect with people to inspire them and also to learn from them.
We were invited to International School of Geneva to present water as a global issue to students for their World Water Day event. Additionally, we were invited to several courses in University of the Nations to share our journey on water.
We had the privilege to meet with several experts to discuss concerns and issues on water and our vision. We had an interview with a global online network, GivCause that broadcasted on World Water Day.
We participated in the Eighth meeting of the Working Group on Integrated Water Resources Management which was organized by United Nations (UNECE) with representatives from all European and river basin countries in attendance.
It was a great opportunity for us to gather recent information on water and global plans on post-MDG (Millennium Development Goals)—SDG (Sustainable Development Goals).
WE’RE A BRIDGE-BUILDER RAISING AWARENESS AND INSPIRING ACTIONS BRINGING CHANGE TO GLOBAL WATER ISSUES.
Please contact us if you want to find a way to work together and bring change in our world. Merci Beaucoup.
