RULES OF THE "VALORANTdeWarden Rifle Challenge"
§1 GENERAL PROVISIONS
- This document (the "Rules") sets out the terms and conditions of the "VALORANTdeWarden Rifle Challenge" (the "Contest").
- In the Contest, participants (each a "Contestant") are invited to upload a video featuring a gameplay clip of the new VALORANT weapon "Warden" to their own social media account, using the hashtag #VALORANTdeWarden. Prizes will be awarded to a total of five (5) Contestants.
- The Contest is open to residents of Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
- The Contest is organised by Riot Games Services GmbH, with its registered office at Am Studio 20a, 12489 Berlin, Germany (the "Organiser").
- The Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, X, Instagram (Meta), TikTok or YouTube (Google). All questions regarding the Contest must be directed to the Organiser, not to these platforms.
§2 WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
- You can participate in the Contest if you are at least 18 years old on the day of entering the Contest, have full legal capacity and have your residence in Germany, Austria or Switzerland.
- The Organiser may request proof of age at any time. Contestants who do not meet the age requirement will be excluded, and any prize already awarded may be reclaimed.
- You cannot participate in the Contest if you are an employee of the Organiser, its affiliates or subsidiaries, or of any agency involved in organising the Contest, or a member of such an employee's immediate family or household.
- Contestants must comply with the terms of service of the social media platform they use to submit their entry.
§3 WHEN DOES THE CONTEST TAKE PLACE?
- The Contest begins on 24.09.2026 at 12:00 CEST and ends on 01.10.2026 at 23:59 CEST (the "Contest Period").
- Only videos published within the Contest Period will be considered.
- The winners will be notified on or around 08.10.2026 via direct message on the platform on which they posted their submission. The Organiser may additionally announce the winners' handles on the VALORANT DACH social media channels.
§4 HOW TO PARTICIPATE?
- To participate, upload a video to your own public account on one of the following platforms: X, Instagram, TikTok or YouTube.
- The video must contain a clip of your own VALORANT gameplay in which the Warden is used.
- The post must include the hashtag #VALORANTdeWarden.
- Your account must be public, and the post must remain online, from the time of posting until the winners have been announced.
- Contestants may submit multiple entries. Each entry must meet the requirements of this §4. Regardless of the number of entries, each Contestant can win only one prize (§5 (4)).
- The submission must be created by the Contestant. No generative Artificial Intelligence ("AI") may be used to create or alter the gameplay shown.
- Submissions must not show the use of cheats, hacks, exploits or any third-party software that violates the VALORANT Terms of Service.
- Submissions must not contain third-party content (e.g. music, video footage, logos) unless the Contestant holds the necessary rights to use it.
- The Organiser reserves the right to reject a submission if it violates applicable law, these Rules, the platform's terms of service or the Riot Games Terms of Service, if it may be considered racist, xenophobic, sexist, defamatory or otherwise offensive or illegal, or if it is not compliant with USK 16 / PEGI 16 requirements.
§5 HOW WILL THE WINNERS BE CHOSEN?
- The winners will be selected by a jury of the Organiser from all eligible submissions. The winners are not chosen by random draw.
- The jury will assess submissions based on the following criteria: creativity and entertainment value, gameplay highlight with the Warden, and overall presentation (e.g. editing).
- The jury will select five winners and determine which winner receives which prize under §6.
- Each Contestant can win only one prize.
§6 WHAT ARE THE PRIZES?
- The following prizes will be awarded:
- 3x VALORANT statue, one per winner
- 2x Wingman plushie, one per winner
The Organiser reserves the right to determine and change the specific statue model. Any replacement model will be of equal or higher value.
- To claim their prize, winners must provide their full name, postal address and email address via direct message within 14 days of notification.
- If a winner cannot be contacted, does not claim the prize within 14 days of notification or does not meet the participation requirements, the Organiser reserves the right to withdraw the prize and select a replacement winner.
- Prizes will be shipped at the Organiser's expense to an address in Germany, Austria or Switzerland. Any customs duties, import fees or taxes incurred for shipments to Switzerland will also be borne by the Organiser.
- Prizes cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred to third parties. If a prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond the Organiser's control, the Organiser may replace it with a prize of equal or higher value.
§7 CONTESTANT'S OBLIGATIONS AND DECLARATIONS
- By posting a submission in accordance with §4, you confirm that you fulfil the requirements set out in these Rules and accept them.
- You confirm that the submission was created by you, that you hold all rights required for participation, and that the submission does not infringe any third-party rights. If other persons are visible or audible in the video, you confirm that they have consented to its publication.
- You will indemnify the Organiser against third-party claims arising from a culpable breach of these Rules on your part.
- The Organiser may exclude Contestants who manipulate the Contest (e.g. through fake accounts, multiple accounts, bots or purchased engagement), including retrospectively, and may reclaim any prizes already awarded.
- By submitting, you acknowledge that your social media handle and public profile picture may be used by the Organiser for the purposes of the Contest.
§8 LICENCE
- By participating, the Contestant grants the Organiser and its affiliates a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence, unlimited in time, to use the submission in connection with the Contest and the promotion of VALORANT on the Organiser's social media channels and websites.
- This licence covers in particular the following forms of use:
- reproducing the submission;
- making the submission available to the public, e.g. by reposting or sharing it, so that any person can access it at a place and time of their choosing;
- editing the submission for technical purposes (e.g. cropping, format adjustments, subtitles), provided that the content is not distorted.
- Where technically possible, the Contestant will be credited by their social media handle.
- The Contestant retains all other rights to their submission.
§9 PERSONAL DATA
- The Organiser is the controller responsible for processing personal data within the Contest.
- The following data will be processed: social media handle, public profile information and the submission; for winners, additionally their full name, postal address and email address.
- This data is processed solely for the purpose of carrying out the Contest, contacting the winners and delivering the prizes (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). Providing the data is voluntary but necessary for participation.
- For prize delivery, the necessary data will be shared with the shipping service provider commissioned by the Organiser.
- Winners' data will be deleted 60 days after the prizes have been delivered, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
- Contestants have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. These rights can be exercised towards the Organiser.

§10 FINAL PROVISIONS
- These Rules are governed by German law. Mandatory consumer protection provisions of the Contestant's country of residence remain unaffected.
- The Organiser reserves the right to modify, suspend or end the Contest early if it cannot be carried out properly for technical, legal or other important reasons (e.g. fraud). Any changes will be communicated on the Organiser's channels.
- The Organiser is liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health. Otherwise, liability is excluded to the extent permitted by law.
- Should any provision of these Rules be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.
