USA Travel Project
Using the figures from your Budget Project, you must plan a vacation for you and a friend. You must travel within the United States.

Choose a state that you have NEVER been to before. Research your State. Research the various things there are to do in the state. Since your trip is only 5 days long, you will need to spend most of your time in one geographical area of the state. | |
Narrow to one geographical location in your state: Once you have found the information on your state, select one geographical area where you will spend your vacation. Then answer the questions on the worksheet based on the city/area you selected. You must select at least 2 different activities to do while on this vacation. Be sure to get the addresses so you can print maps to these activities. | |
Lodging, Airfare, and Car Rental: The links to the right will allow you to look for all three. The links shown below are more specifically related to one category. | |
Lodging: Dates of check-in and check-out Make sure it is close to the attractions you plan to go visit If the attractions you pick are spread out, you can stay at more than one hotel/motel. | |
Flight: You must depart from a Chicago airport. Know your arriving city. Your arrival date is the first day of your vacation, your departure date is the last day of your vacation. Flight must be round trip. Shop around--prices can vary by almost $1,000. | |
Rental car: Pick up and drop off place will be your destination city. Decide what type of car you want versus want you need and can afford. Assume that someone in your group is over the age of 25. You do not have to worry about any extra fees related to age.
