13th December, 1932

Dear Sir,

I have to-day received a cheque for £551: 5: 0 from Lord Ellenborough[1] for the canvas which you so generously offered for auction at the Midnight Matinee on Thursday last at the Capitol Theatre in aid of this Hospital.[2]

Lord Ellenborough has asked me whether I have the canvas and I have informed him that I understand that it is in your possession. His address is, 11, Herbert Crescent, S.W.1.

The result of the Entertainment will be reported to the Committee of Management to-morrow and in the meantime may I say how grateful we all are for the very generous and valuable help you have given to the Hospital.

I am, dear Sir,

Yours faithfully,
