My Dear Philip,
I am very [fast?] packing and trying to find an Hotel for the winter as the hotel where I am closes down [and?] 95% of all the Hotels close, everybody leave, people don’t stay at Lugano in the winter, they say it is not warm enough.
I have also been very busy to find a painter from whom to learn but I wasn’t successful. There are one or two good ones, but they are too busy & have no time.
I found a most excellent sculptor, a real artist, who also paints little, perhaps I will try to get some instruction from him.
[illegible words] an artist from top to toe!! I hope your banquet was successful I will look it up today in the English paper.
The weather here is very changeable. Yesterday it was like a November day [illegible words] today there is brilliant sunshine.
I do hope Lucy, you, and the boys are all well.
With love,
old Vilmos
