I’m writing to you as an angry and concerned constituent.

The brutal murder of George Floyd in the United States has thrust once more into the public conscious the systematic racism experienced everyday in the US, and how through our inaction and silence we as a nation, are complicit.

I write to you today with three clear and simple demands:

1. The immediate suspension of UK sales of Tear Gas, Riot Shields & Rubber Bullets to the United States.
2. A clear and overt condemnation of the threat of military force from President Trump against his own citizens.
3. Following the release of the report on disproportionate BAME deaths from Covid-19, I urge you to push for answers and address the systems that have allowed BAME communities to suffer.

You have been elected by the people of (NAME OF CONSTITUENCY) to represent our views. Anything other than committing to the above demands will mean you are complicit in perpetuating the systemic racism that grips the US and UK.

I trust that I can count on you - know that I will be in contact regarding further instances of injustice when and if they arise. I look forward to your response, and action on these issues.
