Let’s Take a Campus Tour of Georgia Perimeter College

Purpose of lesson:        The purpose of this lesson is to encourage students to conduct a college campus and program search before they make a decision to enroll in a college program.  Students should also research the size of the campus and any extracurricular activities they may be interested in participating in.  College campuses offer much more than an education!

Objective:        Students will use the following QR Codes to take a virtual campus tour of a college campus in preparation for college enrollment.  

Instructions:        Using QR Code Scanner Pro (free application) or any QR Scanner application scan the following QR codes to take a virtual tour of Georgia Perimeter College Campuses.  QR Scanners can be downloaded as an app (application) on your mobile device.

Virtual Campus Tour:

  1. Who is Georgia Perimeter College?  Scan the first QR Code to view the Vimeo video of Perimeter College. It is important that you learn about what the campus offers.  You will also hear firsthand from students.

  1. Where is it located?  Find out where Perimeter Campuses are located. To find the right campus for you I suggest that you locate a campus close to your residence. This would reduce the overall cost involved in traveling back and forth to campus.

  1. E-Campus Tour of Georgia Perimeter College’s Clarkston Campus.  QR Codes for items 3 and 4 are E-Campus tours of Perimeter College.  Each of these campus tour tools will give you a closer look at the various facilities and grounds.  From these experiences you will get a sense of the campus layout.  Some students prefer a smaller campus versus a larger campus. Smaller campuses are easier to navigate.

  1. E-Campus code of Perimeter College’s Dunwoody Campus.

Enrollment Application.  The Enrollment application process is very important.  This QR code explains how to apply to Perimeter College using the GACollege411.org website.  This step is included because there are a lot of steps involved in the application process that can cause you to become frustrated and possibly give up. Please do not give up on your dreams!

  1. Georgia Perimeter College’s Website.  The campus website is a very important tool when reviewing a college campus.  You will be able to research the different academic majors the campus has to offer, tuition costs, and other important information about the college campus.

  1. Finding the Right College.  This entire assignment is about finding the right college for you.  Scan this next QR Code to read about “Finding the Right College for You.”  This resource is provided by the Student College Board at student.collegeboard.org/collegepotential.

  1. FAFSA Application.  The final step in this process is evaluate whether or not Perimeter College is the right college for you.  If it is complete the Perimeter College application and FAFSA Application.  If you have already completed your FAFSA application and decide you want to add Perimeter College to your choices of schools use the code 001574.
