BCI/FBI checks - at new Admin Building

We have changed the process for this upcoming school year. Jackie Yackee (jackieyackee@springfield-schools.org) will be doing all of the background checks for the district. She is not taking walk-ins and so you will need to schedule an appointment. Below is a link where you sign-up for a time. If those times do not work for volunteers, you can go to the Holland Police Station and have them send it to the Administration Building (attn: Cheri Casper).

You must get a BCI/FBI background check. The cost is $51 and is good for 3 years. They accept cash, card or check. There is a 3% charge for a credit card transaction.

Marching Band Reminders

Football games do not end at a certain time so there is no set return time. High School football games normally run anywhere from 2 to 3 hours in length. Messages will be sent out though Remind and students should be in communication with their parents about return times.
As with all events, students should be picked up from the student parking lot or front of the school. No student is to be picked up from the bus loop and no parents/guardians are to be waiting in the bus loop. If this happens, you will be asked to move and all unloading will be limited until it is safe to resume doing so.
The band plays an active role in the game and, as such, is off-limits to spectators during a game. Students will have the 3rd quarter off to visit family and friends but are otherwise engaged in taking an active role during the game. The band's seating area is typically off-limits to anyone who isn't a band staff member, event chaperone, or student.
During the third quarter, students will be able to purchase food and drink from the concessions. Otherwise, students should eat before reporting for a football game. Water will be provided to ensure students stay hydrated and students can bring their own water bottles if necessary.
Per district policy for all school events, students must ride the bus back following an event unless a parent has signed a transportation release form before leaving for a particular event. The parent must be physically present to take their child following the event.
