Door Measuring Regulations

1. GENERAL PROVISIONS

This event shall measure the average playback volume. The range of measuring frequencies shall be 50 Hz to 20,000 Hz. Contestants in the door measuring event shall be split into 3 classes: SOUND JUNIOR, SOUND PRO, and SOUND EXTREME. One contestant shall only be eligible to participate in one class and one measurement. The measurement will run for 30 seconds, playing the record of the contestant’s choice at max volume. The event shall be open to its promoters as well. These Regulations shall apply to and be binding on the following clubs: Panevėžys Car Audio, Bass Team Anykščiai, HairTrick Lietuva, Žemas dažnis Šiauliai, MemelBass Crew, Bildukai, Beast Of Sound.

For the purposes of measurement:

  • The vehicle may be idling;
  • All doors, windows, sunroofs shall be closed, with the exception of the driver’s door;
  • The measuring sensor shall be placed at the level of the lock on the driver’s door, 2 meters away from the door and 50 centimetres away from the side of the vehicle;
  • No support teams shall be allowed near the vehicle on the measuring site;
  • The contestant may use any medium (USB, Bluetooth interface, and so on) with any music, text, or sound recording;
  • The subwoofer shall be turned off or disconnected from the sound system;
  • The contestant shall be seated in the driver’s seat.

2. THE GROUPING OF CONTESTANTS

2.1. Class SOUND JUNIOR

This class shall be for vehicles with sound systems consisting of mid- and high-range speakers up to 20 centimetres in diameter, and one door equipped with a maximum of one single-sized speaker, all speakers 30 centimetres or less in diameter. No horn tweeters shall be allowed: if any are installed, they shall need to be removed.

2.2. Class SOUND PRO

This class shall be for vehicles with sound systems consisting of mid- and high-range speakers, all mid-range speakers 60 centimetres or less in diameter, and one door equipped with one than one single-sized speaker. Horn tweeters shall be allowed. The permitted number of horn tweeters shall be one horn tweeter per one mid-range speaker. For example: if the vehicle is equipped with three 20-centimetre mid-range speakers, it may also have three horn tweeters installed.

2.3. Class SOUND EXTREME

This class shall be for vehicles with sound systems surpassing the limits set for the SOUND PRO class.
