Inside This Issue
The community holds its monthly meetings at the Hindu Temple in Morrisville, NC. We invite everyone to attend the monthly meetings.

Monthly Meeting Format
We will celebrate “Mother’s Day” in this meeting. In addition to our standard meeting format, we will have children say something special to their moms. Since we are going to have sponsored lunch, please make sure you inform our food coordinator if you do not regularly attend the meeting. This is just for planning purposes.

Mahavir Jayanti 2013
Mahavir Jayanti was celebrated at HSNC cultural hall on Sun April 28, 2:00pm. Every year we have a huge turnout! (350 people this year) The event was a huge success and a great demonstration of community support and unity.
The 2013 committee would like to thank ALL the volunteers, choreographers, coordinators and the community at-large who helped us make this year's Mahavir Jayanti program a huge success. I specifically want to thank the Mahavir Puja coordinators, Kiritbhai Shah and Pritesh Shah and the cultural program coordinators, Ritaben Lodaya and Sejal Shah for their time and hard work for this year's program. The exhibition coordinated by Pravin Shah was well received by everyone. Thank you also to all the sponsors for their financial support for this annual event.
Mahavir Jayanti Program DVDs
JSCNC Audio team is working on making Mahavir Jayanti 2013 program DVDs available. As you might know, the entire program was recorded on high quality video camera and we strive to prepare edited versions from raw footage for better viewing experience. The entire program will be available in one or two DVD sets. We will also have high resolution pictures available.
To help us with distribution and planning, please fill out the following pre-order form.
We will also have a sign up sheet in the next monthly meeting. Our goal is to prepare the DVDs by the next monthly meeting (May) and should be available for collecting personally. Due to logistics involved with this, we will not be able to mail anyone these DVDs. The committee is requesting a nominal charge of $3 per set (Cash Only) to cover the administrative costs. You are welcome to donate more and the proceeds will be added to the General Fund for future activities.

JSCNC Pathshala serves our young kids to instill spiritual development, self-awareness and promote Jain identity in individuals, based on the principles of Jainism. The teachers pay special attention to the needs of young and older groups and have structured curriculum as such.
The Paathshala classes take place every first Sunday of the month from 12:30 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. in the Hindu Temple Cultural Hall AND on 3rd Sundays during the monthly meeting. If you plan to attend and/or need more information, please call Mrs. Rita Lodaya or Mrs. Sejal Shah. Paathshala e-mail address is JSCNCpathshala@yahoo.com.
Mother’s Day Celebration
We have not had a pathshala for past several months due to Mahavir Jayanti preparations. The pathshala will resume this month from May 19th (Mother's day meeting) and we encourage all pathshala students to reflect upon, write and present a short paragraph, poem, song etc. honoring "MOM", during jain meeting.
