So The Replacements Syllabus

Philosophy:

  • This is a Simulation Gameplay style franchise looking to emulate real life football, while still maintaining the fun of a video game.
  • There are rules set in place to keep the integrity and longevity of the league.
  •  This league will attempt to find a “balance” between fair, fun and competitive

Conduct Rules:

  • Friendly trash talk is encouraged, but do not make it personal.
  • Suggestions: Feel free to offer any suggestions to improve the quality of the league.
  • Please do not @Replacements at any point in the discord besides #GOTW streams.
  • The reason behind this is to limit any more notifications people are already getting

League Settings:

  • Simulation gameplay.
  • 6min  quarters with 25 sec ACCA CLOCK.
  • Injuries are on during the regular season and playoffs only.
  • Advance Schedule.
  • 48-hour advance. (or sooner if all games have been played.) Advance is only held for SCHEDULED games.

Gameplay:

  • Custom playbooks are NOT allowed
  • All Home games are required to be streamed and archived.
  • You MUST show your playbook on stream prior to the start of the game.
  • Offense:
  • You may not motion a player more than twice or flip a play more than once.
  • OL can situationally play TE.
  • Chew clock is only permitted in the final 3 minutes of the 2nd and 4th quarter unless up 25+ in 4th Quarter.
  • There is a limit to 3 no huddles allowed. With the exception of the final 2 minutes of the 2nd and 4th Quarters.
  • Defense:
  • There are no safeties allowed in SUB LB position in the depth chart or manually subbed in game.
  • You must ALWAYS rush 3 defenders.
  • CB at S in the game only situationally. NOT a permanent sub/formation.
  • Setting your defense settings to “Base align” is banned.
  • Setting your defense settings on “Auto flip off” is banned.
  • There is no “user mugging” allowed.
  • You may “show Blitz” or call “stock mugging plays
  • EXCEPTIONS TO NO  USER MUGGING
  • - < 3rd/4th and 2 or less
  • - defending your goaline from the 3 yardline or closer.
  • There is no “Engage then disengage to cover with user allowed with the O-line. A blitz attempted must be made before disengaging with the O-line.
  • Special Teams
  • No onside Kicks until the 4 quarter.
  • NO scum/pooch punt. If you do this and it results in a fumble you must immediately punt the ball back to the other team. (SKY kicking is NOT a scum punt/kick.)
  • Mercy Rule:
  • You may not score a touchdown in offense when up 25+
  • You may no longer score on defense or special teams when up 35+ (field goals only)

  • Here are the 4th down rules:
  • - One Freebie from anywhere
  • -  4th and 1 rule is as many times as needed.
  •   - you must be past your own 40 Yard-line for 4th and 2
  • - *Situational* Once a game past your own 45 yard-line, but *(before the opponents 35-yard-line)*
  • - Any time inside the opponents 10 yardline
  • 3rd Quarter while trailing
  • - **If you are down 14+ with 2min or less left in the 3rd quarter. You may go for it anywhere past your own 40 yard line.**
  • - **4th Quarter Rule:**
  •    - Any time when down.
  •    - if up 1 score or less may go for it on a 4th and 9th or less at the 50 or closer.
  • •** OVERTIME RULES: ANYTHING GOES**
  • - You may call a fake FG or Punt once per game.
  •   - *this does NOT count as your freebie or situational. *.

• OVERTIME RULES: ANYTHING GOES

If you go for it on 4th down against the rules you must PUNT immediately.

  • Stat Caps:
  •  You must maintain at a 70/30% Pass to Run ratio max. Decimals matter. This will be evaluated after week 8 and the end of the season.
  • The max target share (receptions) is 35% for one player in a season.

Scheduling:

  • Please arrange for your opponent to play your scheduled game as early as possible to give you both time to play your game.
  • Please be HONEST and use integrity with availability.
  • Do not attempt to manipulate the scheduling to rules to earn a FS/FW or avoid a FL. Also try to be understanding/willing to compromise if something comes up for another user if you can.

  • Availability:
  • Disclosing your availability for the entire 48 hour advance period at advance is the #1 way to protect yourself from a FL/FS.
  • Being available 1-3 hours or a specific time during an entire 48 hour advance is NOT being available.
  • You must be available 4+ hours in a 48 hour sim. If you disclose that you are available and are unable to play during that time you will be given a FL.

Fair Sim:

  • In the event of a schedule conflict a fair sim will be awarded
  • At any point if there is 24+ of no communication from both sides.
  • If two people have different availability regardless of someone being more available.

        Force Win:

  • If you do not reach out in the first 24 hours your opponent is entitled to a unknown
  • If your availability is limited (less than 4 hours) and it does not line up with the opponents availability, then your opponent is entitled to a unknown
  • Once a time is scheduled between two users, if one user is not punctual after 30 minutes of the scheduled advance time, then a unknown is awarded.
  • If two users agree on a "ish" time frame, then the window becomes 1 hour of the latest time frame. Ex: 8/9ish. After 10pm the person is awarded a #FW.
  • If a team is a CPU
  • Force Win claims must be posted in unknown must be in the exact format:
  • Week | User FW over (tagged user @)
  •  Ex: Week 16 - @GB Packers 🧀 | Nally | EST unknown over @Rockin | Commies 🐷 | EST (reason) (no communication, limited availability, out of town, did not show to scheduled time, etc)

Tanking:

  • If you go over 4 fl in a season it is an automatic loss of dev. (barring reasonable excuses.)
  • If you are down and out of the season and have no shot of making the playoffs, please still be active to make the game competitive for the other user.

Quitting/Disconnect:

  • There is no conceding in a game.
  • Conceding without permission from an opponent can result in potential Bench of qb/best player or dev loss.
  • Please submit a stream link to admins if someone concedes without permission.

  • If a game is disconnected and the score was close please establish if you’d like to replay with the point differential/possession (including half time)  if the game was almost over you’re welcome to play a quarter or half, quit and force a win. Really whatever the 2 users agree on.
  • Please avoid any public accusations of dashboarding etc, just work it out as adults feel free to tag the admins to get involved.

Roster Management:

  • Off-season
  • - A 31+ year old player may offer a MAX of a 2 year deal. (The exception being a SS/XF player which teams can offer a 3 year deal.)
  • - A 25 years or younger teams offer must be a minimum of 3+ years
  • - A max of a 5 year contract can be offered in free agency
  • Cap Management:
  • You must remain below the salary cap before week 1 and during the entirety of the regular/post season.
  • If a user is over the cap limit, a stat reduction will happen every week until the salary cap is achieved. This may include a loss of dev.
  • You may not cut a player then re-sign him to obtain a cheaper contract. If you cut the player during the must sit in free agency for 24 hours before you can sign him back to your roster.
  • Dev Limit:
  • There is currently a 8 SS/XF limit.
  • XF Quarterbacks count as 2 spots toward the limit of 8.
  • YOU must notify a commissioner if you are at 9 or above.
  • If the commissioner must remind you, then it will be a spin wheel random loss of SS/XF.
  • Development/Make-up games:
  • A photo must be provided of the Main screen showing it is a breakout game (with your coach in the photo) and a photo of the requirement screen.
  • Failing to follow the above results in an automatic DQ!

Player Editing:

  • Offense:
  • You may currently edit your QB, but not change their face..

Positional Changes outside of the same position must be approved by TC.

  • FB to TE, but not TE to FB.
  • Anyone 235+ can play the FB position.
  • WR to TE is an automatic NO.
  • Offensive lineman:
  • T to T and any interior lineman swap is allowed. Ex: G to C and C to G or LG to RG etc.
  •  Offensive lineman on their rookie deal (3 years of pro or less.) must be submitted to the trade committee for a position swap to any position on the offensive line if not SS dev.
  • There is NO switching their position back after the initial approval by TC.
  • SS O lineman cannot be moved

  • Defense:
  • Defensive line: May be swapped freely, but a DT must weigh 285+ Edge rushers must be 240+ and have a 75+ Pass rush move.
  • No S to LBer allowed at all.
  • Edge CANNOT go to Sam, Mike. Will LBer or Vice Versa.
  • Defensive backs: A S can be swapped to CB, but a CB can not be moved to S.
  • In special circumstances a CB may be moved to S. (an aging corner or a rookie with a  max speed of 90.)
  • If an aging CB he must have min 70 Tackle/pursuit to qualify for the move. Anyone below 190 pounds is automatic DQ.

  • You may not edit a player's position to obtain a cheaper contract. If you do he will regress a dev trait.
  • You may not edit a players name, but may edit any equipment or Jersey #.

Draft day Stars:

  •    Draft day stars will be 1 SS and 1 will be XF. (I might randomly throw in a Punter or Kicker or Return specialist too)
  • I’ll let the whole franchise know who they are, this is to make the top draft picks more valuable and help the teams that do not play as well or aren’t as competitive rating wise.
  •  Each player will have their own story line, measurements, and strengths/weaknesses to help people identify who they want.
  • No player will be overpowered and will always be an 80 overall Max.
  • Excluding Kicker Punter and Full backs. (85 max) player 1 on offense and 1 player on defense for the incoming rookie class.

Player Regression Submission:

  • A Player must be in the top 4 in an end of year award or made the pro bowl to qualify for a dev reimbursement.
  • Please include all player season stats and the Trade committee will vote on dev reinstatement
  • If a player regresses from XF to S: He gets SS back automatically. SS to N: Gets S back automatically.
  • A player can only regress one tier.

Trades:

  • All trades must be submitted via Neonsportz.
  • There is a player/pick value calculator that is meant to be suggestive in terms of value. The value from each side should be similar. However, there are other circumstances that the TC will factor in, such as age, dev trait, rare physical traits, contracts, Etc.
  • If you are trading at the deadline please make draft picks resemble team records for value purposes.
  • Future picks and start of season picks are to be submitted as pick 16. TC will take a user's skill level into consideration as well.
  • If it is after week 5 please either use pick 10, 16, or 24 as a reference based on the person record for pick reference.
  • Players that were signed in free agency in any capacity cannot be traded.
  • Rookies drafted in the first two rounds cannot be traded until year 2 of pro.
  • There is a limit of 4 trades per season.
  • You cannot trade a player in th same season that you acquired him or if you just signed them in free agency.
  • Once a trade is submitted to TC you may NOT submit another one until that one is voted on.
  • The Penalty for backing out of an APPROVED trade is a current 2nd round pick or future 1st.
  • You may back out of any trade that has been submitted, but not yet approved.
  • Please do not submit trades without approval of the other person involved.
  • If a trade is approved, then you play a game with a then “traded player” if he is injured, you will have to give the other team your 2nd your pick or 1st round the following year. The other team will choose between the two.
  • AKA bench the player if the trade was approved and the other team cannot accept the trade in time.
