Installation Guide:
Step 1: Obtain The Base Game Files Go google it, it’s not that hard. Should be ~2GB in size. You can also refer to the video here. |
Step 2: Install the Eldewrito launcher Download and install the launcher from here, then extract the zip to your Halo directory like so (your directory should look just like this): |
Step 3: Run the updater Run DewritoUpdater.exe and update your game to the latest release version. (Note: After the update your directory will look different, this is good.) |
Step 4: Launch the game through DewritoUpdater.exe *If you don’t want to use the updater, add “-launcher” as a launch option to the game through a shortcut or you can now just use the “skip” button from inside the launcher itself. |

Q: Okay, where is this “El-Dewrito” Launcher and how do I use it? A: “El-Dewrito” is a launcher that installs to the game’s directory and allows you to update our mod, find games, customize your spartan, change game preferences and more. You can find it here! A2: If you wish to have the LATEST, UNTESTED builds of El-Dewrito just refer to this link here! (Note: If you wish to install the latest, untested builds, you must first complete a full “stable” installation using the launcher, and then run the .exe you have downloaded from the link above. After that, remember to use the “Skip” button in the launcher otherwise it will revert your files back to the latest “stable” build. Also remember that when using builds other than the current stable build you cannot join multiplayer games that have a different build than yours.) | ||||||
Q: HELP, HOW DO I RUN THE GAME? IT DOESN’T WORK/IT CRASHES! 1.) First, make sure you’re using “El-Dewrito” by DEElekgolo. To install, just extract the contents of the “Express Installation” .zip into your FRESH “halo” folder then run the updater then run eldorado.exe. 2.) If it still doesn’t work make sure your tags.dat and map files are fresh and unedited. These can be located in the “maps” folder. 3.) If it still refuses to work, try turning off all enhancements in your gpu’s driver software. 4.) If it STILL refuses to work, do a fresh install of the game from scratch. | ||||||

1.) Custom Intro Screen: Download, Rename the file to “intro.bik” and copy it to the “bink” folder and click replace. 2.) Custom Loading Screens from Halo CE, 2, 3, ODST, Reach, and 4: Download, Rename files to “loading_loop.bik” and copy ONE to the “bink” folder and click replace. |
Launch Parameters: (Table Below) NOTE: These launch options are for testing purposes only. They are not needed with the latest version of El-Dorito. Just launch the .exe and you are good to go. If you do wish to use these simply get an old “run.bat” and add these commands to it. | ||
