The end of Term 2 has finally arrived, what a hectic Term it has been too.  A reminder that Term 3 starts again on Monday 20 July.Skull Beanie - navy.jpg

School Beanies

We have our school beanies for sale again in our Uniform shop which are very handy for our children on the cold mornings we have had.  They will cost less than  the ones we sold last year as they do not have the school logo embroidered on them.

Overseas Students

We are expecting another group of Korean students from Shinan County in the first week, who will be placed in Year 5 and Year 6 classes for the 4 weeks they will be attending  Elm Park School. Thank you to parents and whanau that have offered to have the  students staying in their homes. We appreciate it very much.

We are also expecting a large group of Japanese students from Hoshino Gakuen for the day on August 20. This is an annual event and enjoyed by all as it is a shared experience for both parties.

Disco’s

Thanks to all the families/whanau that supported the PTA disco’s last Friday night. Everyone had a great time.  A big thank you to all the PTA for your time and organisation.

Warning from the Police

There has been a recent spate of burglaries in the area so please take care over the holidays that you put on your alarms, lock the doors and windows even if you are just going out for a short time.

A big thank you to all the staff and the parents/whanau who have supported the school this term, in the classrooms and on trips.

Have a lovely holiday.

Looking Ahead

SCHOOL JACKETS - Polar fleece jackets and size 6 Track pants will be available on the first day of Term 3.  We also have our new “one size fits all beanies” without logos so you can wear them for all occasions - $5 each. We have some stock of sleeveless polar fleece vests in sizes 4, 10, 12, 14 and SML.  We will be selling these at a discounted price of $10 until stock is gone.

CHANGE OF CLOTHING - We are experiencing a lot of falls in puddles and slips on the wet ground at the moment.  Please ensure your children have a change of clothes, especially track pants / shorts / culottes and underwear, as we do not always have clothing available for them to change into and sitting in wet clothes all day is neither comfortable nor healthy.
